We love the convenience of zip-top bags for sending snacks and sandwiches to school, storing leftovers, or organizing supplies, but we feel bad about using so many plastic bags that end up in landfills. These compostable bags are the perfect solution. You can rinse and reuse them just like standard bags, and they handle overstuffing and seal well, too. When you're done, you can add them to your compost bin.

We have one of those front load washers which annoyingly smells like mildew if you don't clean it. The most effective thing I've found to really kill the smell are these Active washing machine cleaner tablets. All you have to do is run a cycle with just the tablet and it'll clean the drum, pump, valve, and filter in one step. These work with basically all high-efficiency and standard washers.
